Small Maidens Chamber with bed curtain (140 cm grand lit size)
The Maidens Chambers are two smaller, yet perhaps even more romantic rooms in the oldest 14th century part of the hotel. Medieval original stone walls and Gotlandic core pine in the floors. The colour is inspired from a medieval shade of blue. The contemporary bed (140 cm) in solid wood is from Swedish Carpe Diem, and has a ceiling height bed curtain in tender linen, turns the room to a cosy nook for the couple or simply as a single room.
Both our Maidens Chambers are 14 sq mtrs and viewing the church ruin of the Holy Spirit, an octagonal construction known from Charles the Great´s court in Aachen during the 9th century.
The furniture is made from spruce and especially designed for us. Flatscreen tv is hidden in a wall cabinet in contemporary style as well as the broadband outlet.
The bathrooms are designed with granite clinker and mosaic tiles, small washbowls with oak shelf beneath, towel dryer and hair dryer.
The wardrobes are built in and hidden in wood walls with a half height strip model originating from the 18th century, all have safety boxes fitting laptops.
In each room we also offer minibar service with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which can be locked upon request.
Desk with Gothic chair, leather armchair, foldable suitcase shelf in wood – and – a lot of calm.
Extra beds can not be booked in Maidens Chambers.
In our lounge, by the reception we serve small dishes, warm and cold beverages, quiet music and warmth from the fireplace between noon and late afternoon. Summertime you may enjoy our park where you also during autumn can pick walnuts, pears or lavender.
Our whole interior is a non smoking area.
