If you come by car, please do not use GPS for driving directions as it does not have fully control of one way roads in our narrow city. Use our directions below. Transport: from Visby Airport or Visby Port: Car rental and taxis are available and need to be preordered. We are happy to help you to make a reservation for taxi. Walking distance from the terminal is approximately 20 minutes. By car: Drive into the old town of Visby through the NORTHERN GATE of the medieval city wall, (“Norderport”), drive straight downhills to the Y-crossing between the two streets of Smedjegatan and Hospitalsgatan, and you should see an open door/gate and the western facade of Hotel Helgeand.
