Hotel S:t Clemens
The Hotel St Clemens is located in the inner city of Visby, inside the city walls. The hotel consists of five historical buildings next to the Botanical Garden and the cathedral. It is Gotland’s first environmentally labelled hotel, offering three-star accommodation.
All rooms are non-smoking, with their own shower, toilet, TV and wireless Internet. Breakfast, daily cleaning and Internet connection are included in the price.
All 30 rooms are unique in size and decoration. The rooms are connected by two enclosed gardens, where you can eat breakfast or just meditate. The hotel staff speak Swedish and English.
The hotel is right next to the St Clemens church ruins. Enjoy the peace and quiet, have a drink and a snack, or just watch the children play.

Directions: By car from the ferry Turn left in the little roundabout when you exit the ferry. Then turn right immediately and head up Gutebacken Hill. Turn left at the stop light at the crown of the hill. Continue straight ahead until you see the city walls and the South Gate (Söderport). Turn right just before the gate and then left so that you are following the wall on the outside. Drive straight across Östercentrum and continue to the left along the outside of the wall until you reach the next roundabout. Turn left in the roundabout and follow the hill down to the North Gate (Norderport). Drive through the North Gate and continue straight ahead. The Hotel St Clemens is on the right side after 300 metres. Directions: On foot from the ferry terminal Set your sights on the cathedral, which you can see from the harbour, and head towards it. It’s about a 20 minute walk. Stand with your back towards the gate in the left tower of the church. Down to the right you see an alley called Biskopsgatan. That alley will take you directly to the Hotel St Clemens. Directions: From the airport It’s about 3 km from the airport to the hotel. If you rent a car, head towards Visby and turn right in the first roundabout. Follow the hill down towards the North Gate (Norderport). Drive through the North Gate and continue straight ahead. The Hotel St. Clemens is on the right side after 300 metres.
