The Salvation Army Hostel
POLICY
Our hostel has a 100% smoke & alcohol- and drug free enviroment, with consideration for children and recovering alcoholics. Violation may entail eviction.
CHECKING-IN
During low season check-in time is after 3 pm using a keycode. No reception.
During high-, and midseason our reception is open for check-in between 1 and 2 pm.
If you arrive later than 2 pm, you can access your room through our key safe. A text message will be sent to your mobilephone, or by email, with the code to the keysafe.
CHECKING-OUT
At 11.00 am on the day of departure.
Cleaning: Before checking out, the room should be cleaned and left in the same state as it was when you came.
If you don't wish or if you are unable to clean you room, toilet and kitchenette, we can offer you cleaning at a fee. Price information is available when booking. Cleaning must be booked in connection with booking the room.
FAMILY PRICES
If you are traveling with children, we can offer you our traveling-bed for children between the ages 0-2. Price 100.-/night. Note! Call our hostel direct to order.
We have a lower age limit of 25 years. This do not apply in the company of a parent or guardian.
FACILITIES
We have four double rooms, one single room and one familyroom. Rooms are located in different parts of the house and are all unique.
Room 1 - 3 (two doubles and one single room), are located on the top floor and share two bathrooms and a kitchenette.
Room 4 & 5 is two floors up and share a bathroom and kitchenette.
The family room ‘Josefina’ is large and spacious. With it’s own kitchen and aceess to a bathroom with shower.
Room Eugenie is a double room, only available for rent during low season. With access to kitchen and bathroom with shower.
All rooms have access to a kitchenette equipped with:

Microwave
Kettle
Coffee Machine
Access to ironing board, iron and highchair for children. Talk to our staff or let us know by writing a message when booking.
Quilts and pillows are included but not bedlinen and towels.
Cleaning is the responsibility of the guest.

CHECKING-IN Important information!!! REMEMBER TO BRING THIS BOOKING CONFIRMATION!! Low season Check-in time 3 pm. During low season we have no staffing at our reception. You will get your room key through our keysafe using your code: 2534B Directions to key safe: From the street called "Dubbens gränd", enter the black iron gate by putting your hand through the bars to turn the lock from the inside. The stairs lead you to a red door with a safe for keys, enter the safe by using your code. High- & mid season Check-in is between 1 and 2 pm. NOTE! If you know you are checking in later than 2 pm email us at vandrarhem.visby@fralsningsarmen.se, to receive a code for the key cabinet. CHECKING-OUT At 11.00 am the day of departure. Please, leave the key in your room. Cleaning: Before checking out, the room should be cleaned and left in tha state that it was when you came. If the room is not cleaned properly you will be charged a fee. This is how you find your way to us: From the ferry: Take a Gotland guide that you find free on the ferry. In the back you will find a map of Visby. By car: Follow the road past the marina in to the inner city, turn to the right directly after the restaurant Joda, follow the wall to come inside the wall. Go directly to the left and follow Strandgatan to the restaurant Lindgården, then turn right into Kompanigränd. The next crossing is at Mellangatan where you go right. Drive 100 m to Danzigergränd where you can stop the car to unpack it. Note! GPS won't work in the inner city. If you’re walking take the same way but from Strandgatan go right when you come to Danzigergränd and walk up to Mellangatan. We can not offer parking space at our hostel. The nearest parkingspace is find by “Kruttornet” (look at a map). Don’t forget to bring your booking confirmation!
