• The Bunge Museum gives you Gotland's history from the Bronze Age to the beginning of the 20th century. The approximately 70 buildings from all over Gotland are beautifully landscaped in a Gotland meadow of 7 hectares. The museum was inaugurated in 1911 and contains recreated farm environments from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. There is also a fishing village, a boatman's cottage, lamb and russ poison (cattle house). Our visitors also get an insight into early industry with lime kilns, wind saws and watermills. The image stones from the 700s are unique to Gotland and give us snapshots into Viking-era society, both from everyday life and mythology.

Our guide offers you an hour-long tour with samples from all these times in the unique environments, when folklore was strong with creatures in various forms. Learn how to best take care of your housegard, who to watch out for at the watermill and how to carry out a successful Christmas celebration.
